WPC Asia Grand Slam: Day 4 Crowns New Champions! 🏆🔥

What an absolutely thrilling chapter was written on Day 4 of the WPC Asia Grand Slam China 2025! It was a day packed with high-stakes matchups, emotional wins, and new champions crowned across various divisions.

A massive shout-out to Mihae Kwon 🇰🇷and Mayur Patil 🇮🇳who SEIZED THE LAST GOLD for Team Asia in the 19+ Mixed Doubles category! This dynamic duo showcased a stellar display of power, precision, and synergy, storming their way to the top and leaving the crowd in awe. Their win was a standout moment and could be the beginning of something even bigger for this international pairing!

Also shining bright was Isha Lakhani, who clinched victory alongside Dan Balldin in the 35+ Mixed Doubles category! What an epic week for pickleball!

Historic Unification! WPF and IPF Merge for a Unified Global Pickleball Future! 🌐🚀

Big news for the world of pickleball! The Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP), headquartered in Singapore, has officially announced its full support for the historic unification of the World Pickleball Federation (WPF) and the International Pickleball Federation (IPF)! These two major bodies are joining forces to create a single, global governing body for our beloved sport.

This exciting announcement comes after the unification was unanimously endorsed by all participating AFP member countries at a Special General Meeting convened on June 14, 2025. This consensus truly shows Asia’s collective commitment to unity and progressive governance for Pickleball.

According to Mr. Hogan Lai, Chairman of the AFP, this merger brings together the strengths of both organisations – combining a focus on IOC governance standards with a community-driven approach. He paid tribute to the many dedicated individuals who made this possible, laying the groundwork for a stronger, more unified future for global pickleball.

The AFP believes this merger signals a new era for pickleball – one of shared vision, unity, and incredible momentum on the world stage. And here’s the most thrilling part: it could even serve as the springboard that could push the world’s fastest-rising sport into Olympic territory! Get ready, the future of pickleball just got a whole lot brighter!
